Our Big Picture will be: 'Caring for Our Environment'
Our Big Question will be: 'How can we make our school community a better place to be?'
Our writing focus will be: Personal Recounts/ Picture Plans/ Cameo Writing/ Recrafting/ Publishing and a particular focus on Transcational Writing: Exposition.
Our mathematics programme will be- Algebra- patterns and relationships (2 weeks)--> Numeracy (5 weeks)--> Measurement- time (2 weeks) ---> Statistics (1 week)
SPECIAL EVENTS:
-Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori: Maori Language Week (Week 1)
-Year 2 hosting Assembly: Friday 25th July (Week 1)
-Travelwise in the Hall: Wednesday 30th July (Week 2)
-Korean Teachers visiting school/ Room 7: 5th August- 14th August (Week 5/ 6)
-Book Week: (Week 5) -Book Parade: Friday 22nd August
-Kahurangi Group Performance: Wednesday 20th August (Week 5)
-Maria Gill- Author Visit: Thursday 21st August (Week 5)
-Year 2 Folk Dance Festival: Tuesday 26th August (Week 6)
-School Disco: Friday 19th September (Week 10)
-LAST DAY OF SCHOOL: Friday 26th September (Week 10)
