## BOOK PARADE ##

Last Friday on the 22nd of August, we had a book parade. We had to bring in a favourite book and dress up like a character from that story. All the classes went down to the courts and each had a turn parading their costumes. Everybody was dressed up... even the teachers!!

We saw the three blind mice, the enormous crocodile, a paper bag princess, harry potter, lots of pirates and much much more!

Thursday

MRS KIM FROM KOREA

This term we were one of the lucky classes that got to host a Korean Teacher for 2 weeks. Mrs Kim was really nice and we really enjoyed learning about her culture. We made origami and learnt about korean patterns and greetings. We hope you enjoyed your time in New Zealand and with Room 7 Mrs Kim!

Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori:

Kia Ora!
Room 7 celebrated Maori Language Week by learning Maori phrases, creating Maori artwork and playing Maori language games. We tried to use Maori in the classroom as much as we could, such as days and months, classroom objects, weather and colours.

{ Amazing Autumn Artwork }

Watch this video if you would like to see some of the amazing artwork Room 7 students created this term. We thought really hard about colour, texture, shading, line and shape.

***SHARING OUR WORK*** <---ISOBEL, HELEINE, McKENZIE, THOMAS.M--->

Posted below are the powerpoints/ podcasts created by Room 7 after our trip to Howick Historical Village.

Unfortunately we experienced a lot of difficulty trying to post powerpoints to our blog- we will continue to work on this problem but in the mean time we have converted the powerpoints to media player videos and they can be watched without sound.

We did present these in assembly and if you bring a Disc into class we will give you your own copy to keep!
